3/23/2026 – Spring is springing extremely fast.
Warm temperatures have started the runoff far earlier than usual. Current estimates are projecting 50-60% of our project water. The amount of adjudicated water that will run would be very minimal, if at all, due to current high temperatures.
May 1st is the earliest we can start FCDC irrigation season. To start the canal we must have 50 cfs on call. The earliest we will record water orders is April 15th. All water orders need to be made to the ditch office phone 970-749-9800 the ditch riders do not take water orders. We prefer text messages for orders as that gives FCDC and the user a record. We do accept voice messages to the ditch office number and email orders to floridaditch@gmail.com.
